Discussion Points

• Discussion on club stickers with quote through Noel Peck.
• Transponder brackets available from Graham Castledine at the meeting.
• Leyburn Sprints – unlikely to include motorcycle sprints due to unsuitability of track layout track & lack of run-off areas.
• Bike Week – Interest in Historic Racing from the organizers has declined & it appears will not be included in this year’s program.
• A motion was passed that the Investment Account be reinvested for 6 months @ 6.25%
• Discussion on & selection of Nominations for MQ’s Historic Sub Committee – Wayne Skyring, John Munns, Fraser McMillan, Russell Bentley, Rob Walker.
• Report from David Vincent on his progress with organisation of July’s Stanthorpe interclub meeting. Draft of Sup regs incl Regularity & Juniors. General approval was given for David’s draft Sup Regs to be submitted asap.
• A motion was passed that David Vincent’s proposal for “sponsorship” of www.qemsc.co.au website was passed. A suggestion that a nominal charge be levied for “classified” ads on the site.
• Noel Peck played a CD of Cnlr Dawn Critchlow’s on-air support for continuation of Mike Hatcher Park at Arundel, Gold Coast. Club to write to the involved GG clubs showing our support & to the radio station thanking them for the CD.
• Rob Olsen led discussion on viability of (QEMSC support) of a bitumen road race track at the Nudgee motorcycle complex. Further info is  required from council engineers & town planning on the long term viability before any commitment by QEMSC
• Photographer David Tye offered his images for QEMSC promo material.
• Tony Jacobs reported that a draft of Sup Regs for Motorcycle Sportsment’s combined BEARS & Historic race meeting scheduled for Morgan Park in May showed only combined “all capacity” racing for each Historic period: P3, P4 & P5.
