What a great weekend we had, the weather was kind to us and there was a great roll up of riders.  A bored ambulance man with nothing to do is definitely what we wanted to see.

I would like to thank the QEMSC members who gave up their time to put on a ride like this and still managed to ride a few laps themselves – very well done !!!

The racing itself was well organised and went without any hitches.  Our veteran Triumph rider ( Bert Skuce, ) showed us the way in most of the races in his usual fluent style (no knees hanging out for this rider)

It was great to see a few newcomers to the racing scene, especially one young Lachlan Kavney who rode extremely well all weekend, I am sure we will see more of him in the future, carrying on the family tradition that we have become used to from the Kavney clan.

My little NSU went well most of the weekend, that is when we remembered to top up the petrol in the tank !! ( Rusty Pierini did the same ) Not once but twice this happened !!  We spend weeks in the shed preparing the bikes and then forget the simple things, I’m sure we have all done something similar ??

Had a great dice with Webmaster Dave in the 350cc race, we have had some great races over the years – always good for a laugh.  Maybe NSU should mean NEEDS SOME UMPH) or as one rider said to me – NOT SO USELESS.

Meanwhile back in the shed for the next few weeks preparing for the BIG ONE – the Historic Championships at Warwick – can’t wait.

See you there

Graham Barker

P.S. What a brilliant job our own personal Webmaster Dave is doing, he certainly keeps us up to date with what is happening in regards to upcoming events, results and photos of previous race meetings.  Well done Dave (“The Blocker”) Vincent.

( that $50 I slipped you obviously worked, webmaster Dave )
